WLOCLAWEK, POLAND - UNDATED: White tailed eagle sitting on his dead branch with the magpie but won't share it for long in Wloclawek city, Poland.
These unusual and amusing pictures show the unlikely understanding that developed between a metre and a half tall Sea Eagle and a common Magpie. Staring at the magpie as they share the same branch, the Sea Eagle seems almost to be saying 'what are you looking at?'. Taken by 33 year old Polish photographer Marcin Nawrocki in Poland, near to Wloclawek city, the magpie and eagle apparently had been arguing over the siting rights to the branch. With a wingspan of over 2.5 metres, the eagle easily dwarfs the troublesome magpie. However, luckily for the magpie, the eagle does not consider it prey because it too small. They prefer to eat rabbits and small deer. *** Local Caption ***
