A hippo mum fought back against two other hippos to save her baby from drowning in these shocking pictures. Spotted by wildlife guide Joe Molekoa at the Seba camp in Botswana, the calfs life was at risk when one male and one female hippo came to interrupt the mother child bonding. One of the intruders tried to grab the baby but, after a moment under water, mum managed to see them off and save her calf. They had been frolicking carefree in the waters of the Okovango Delta before the vicious fight ensued.
