By Ian Mitchelmore She's not afraid of the ruff and tumble! Meet the dog whose tail wags non-stop as she glides across the choppy seas on her own SURFBOARD. Talented pooch Sherrie fell in love with surfing as a pup when she watched her owners Kevin and Pauline Fallon ride the waves on Dunroamin Beach on the Isle of Wight. After a few trips to the coast, Sherrie soon found herself being admired by dozens of eager spectators who were desperate to catch a glimpse of her in action. The seven-year-old Labrador has become the star attraction for the Isle, with the tourist board even orchestrating an advertising campaign on Sherrie's paw-fect posture. Keen wave-catchers Kevin, 60, and Pauline, 59, spend every spare minute with Sherrie in and around the choppy waters near their south Wight home in Lake. Kevin said: "Ours is a water-based life so it was natural to take Sherrie to the beach when she was a tiny pup. "We used to put Sherrie on an old surfboard so she could watch and soon found that she had become attached to it. "Within months she would happily sit on the board while I pushed it towards the water's edge and would stay put as it floated into the sea. "By her first summer, Sherrie had learnt to stand on the board and could surf. "Her lower centre of gravity made it easy for her to get her balance and brace herself as the wave carried the board ashore." Sherrie has been gracing the Isle's shoreline for more than five years and become a cult attraction for visitors. The mostly calm weather on Isle of Wight, dubbed Britain’s most dog-friendly resort, has provided the perfect platform for the canine to find her feet. Kevin added: "Sherrie has a natural agility and she's probably a better surfer than us - a real veteran of the surfboard. "She doesn't think about the danger involved or how deep the water is - she just concentrates on riding the wave. "She knows her limits though and won't go in if the waves are too high." ENDS
