This heart-warming picture captures the moment a tower of giraffes dotingly surround a new born baby.
The touching photograph was taken at Kariega Game Reserve, Eastern Cape, South Africa, just 45 minutes after the mother gave birth.
Interestingly, the curious crowd surrounding the adorable new born baby are in fact all male but the mother can be seen keeping a close eye on the youngster.
Photographer Brendon Jennings, 41, who works as a local safari guide noticed the mother giving birth behind some thickets and was part of a lucky few who got to witness the birth first hand.
Brendon said "I was on a morning game drive when we noticed the scene unfolding.
"Giraffe normally give birth in a thicket and this was approximately 45 minutes after its birth.
"The giraffes in the picture are all male, I think they were trying to figure out who the father was!
"The females however, were looking after the mother, she can be seen to the right of the frame standing guard.
"We watched from a distance in an attempt to minimise the stress on the mother but it was an incredible moment that I will never forget.
"I had about six guests with me on the drive, they were truly blessed to witness such a tender moment."
"Giraffes are my favourite animal to photograph, with their long and unusual looking bodies they are a signature species of the African savanna."
